Vazhakkai Varuval/ Vazhakkai Poriyal/ Raw Banana stir fry

Vazhakkai varuval is another vegetable same as potato and kids love it when we stir fry it. It is a nice combo for curd rice, rasam rice.

Ingredients:

  • Raw Banana - 1
  • Sambar powder - 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Coconut powder - 1 tbsp
  • Roasted gram flour - 1 tbsp
  • Idly podi - 1 tsp
  • Curry leaves - 5
  • Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Oil - 2 tbsp

Cooking Instructions:

  • Heat oil in a pan. Add Mustard seeds and allow it to splutter.
  • Add curry leaves, sambar powder,salt and Vazhakkai. Mix it nicely.
  • Add Coconut powder and sprinkle a tbsp of water.
  • Cook for 5 to 6 mins or until tender.
  • Add roasted gram flour and idly podi. Give a nice stir.
  • Serve hot with rice.
