Instant Pot Carrot Halwa/Slow cooker Carrot halwa

CARROT - This orange crunchy veggie has a lot of powerful health benefits like beautiful skin, cancer prevention, improves vision and anti - aging. This root vegetable is a good source of antioxidant agents. A nutritional veg as a sweet is a double dhamaka.


Ingredients:

  • Carrot - 250gms
  • Milk - 250ml
  • Condensed Milk - 5 tbsp
  • Milk Powder - 1 tbsp
  • Ghee - 2 tbsp
  • Cashew Nut - 5

Cooking Instructions:

  • Slow Cooker Version/ Instant Pot:
    • If you have slow cooker then you don't have to do baby sitting. 
    • Place ghee in a pot.
    • Roast cashews and keep them aside.
    • In the same ghee add carrot and cook for a couple of mins.
    • Add Milk in the pot. Cover and cook for 1hr.
    • Add Condensed milk and cook for 30mins. Stir once in between.
    • Add Roasted Cashews and serve hot or cold.
  • Stove Top:
    • Place a heavy bottom deep pan and add milk.
    • Cook in a medium flame and stir now and then.
    • In another pan add ghee and roast cashews and keep them aside.
    • In the sam pan add carrot and fry for a couple of mins.
    • Continuously stir milk once it reaches boiling point.
    • Once it reduces to half of its original quantity add the carrot and cook.
    • Cook till the water evaporates.
    • Add Condensed milk and stir nicely. It'll become watery first and get thicks. Continue Stirring.
    • Add Milk Powder and stir.
    • Add Cashew nuts and switch off the flame.
    • Serve it hot or cold with ice cream.
