I have posted 'N' no of mutton recipes since 'S' loves mutton and he wants to try different varieties. This one is another dry recipe belongs to chettinad samayal. As the name says, the main ingredients are mutton and salt. It is a very simple recipe which can be done in 20 mins.
Ingredients:
For Cooking Mutton:
- Boneless Mutton - 250gms
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
- Salt - 1/2 tsp
- Water - 1/2 cup
Others:
- Small onion - 10
- Green chilly - 2
- Garlic - 5
- Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
- Coriander powder - 1 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Fennel seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Red chilly - 1
- Curry leaves - 5
Cooking Instructions:
- Pressure cook all the ingredients under for cooking mutton for 4 to 5 whistles. Keep it aside and reserve half cup of its water.
- Heat oil in a pan and add all the ingredients for tempering one after the other.
- Add garlic and green chilly and saute for a min.
- Add onion and saute till translucent.
- Add Ginger garlic paste and saute till raw smell goes.
- Add Coriander powder and salt.
- Add the mutton pieces along with its water. Cook till it becomes dry.
