Generally i make only valakai stir fry. My MIL taught me this masiyal. We can also do this recipe in karna kelangu too.
Ingrediens:
- For Grinding:
- Red Chilly - 4
- Coriander seeds - 1 tbsp
- Urad dal - 1/2 tbsp
- Fennel seeds - 1/2 tbsp
- Tamarind - 1 tsp
- Jaggery - 1 tsp
- Coconut - 1/4 cup

- Raw Banana - 2
- Onion - 1
- Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Curry leaves - 5
- Salt to taste

Cooking Instructions:
- Pressure cook raw banana with skin for 2 whistles. Mash it.
- Dry roast red chilly, coriander seeds, urad dal, fennel seeds and coconut.
- Grind roasted ingredients along with tamarind and jaggery.
- Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds.
- Add Onion and saute till it turn translucent.
- Add the mashed banana and salt.
- Add the ground powder and cook for 5 to 6 mins.
- Serve hot with steam rice.
