Mushroom Masala/ Mushroom masala in Instant pot

Mushrooms are low in calories, fat free, cholesterol free. It also includes relief from breast cancer, prostate cancer and diabetes. It helps in weight loss and increases the strength of immune system.
It is necessary for ladies to take mushrooms at-least once in a week. Today i m going to post mushroom masala which can be served as a side dish for roti, naan.


Ingredients:

  • For Grinding:

    • Onion - 1
    • Tomato - 1

  • For Tempering:

    • Butter - 2 tbsp
    • Cinnamon stick - 1 inch
    • Bay leaves
    • Cloves - 1
    • Cardamom - 1

  • Others:


    • Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
    • Red chilly powder - 1 tsp
    • Coriander powder - 1&1/2 tsp
    • Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
    • Evaporated milk -1 tbsp
    • Salt to taste

Cooking Instructions:

    • Add a tbsp of all purpose flour and little water in mushrooms. Mix it nicely to remove the dirts and run through cold water. Chop into cubes.
    • Press saute mode. Add 1tbsp of butter.
    • Add onion and saute till translucent.
    • Add tomato and cook till mushy.
    • Switch off and once cooled grind it smoothly.
    • Again on the saute mode. Add remaining butter.
    • Add the ingredients for tempering.
    • Add ginger garlic paste and saute till raw smell goes.
    • Add the ground paste and cook for a couple of mins.
    • Add the spice powder and salt. 
    • Add Mushroom and half cup of water. Turn off and cover the lid.
    • Press Manual high pressure for 3 mins.(Sealed)
    • Once pressure dies naturally, Press saute mode and adjust to less to simmer.
    • Add Evaporated milk or full fat milk and allow it cook for a couple of mins.
    • Serve hot with roti, naan.
