My favourite childhood drink during summer is rose milk. I love the color of this drink and taste hmmmmmm yummmmmyyyyyy..... This goes to my after meal menu always in restaurants those days. Yes, we have to borrow ice cubes or chilled water for cool drinks from neighbours during my childhood days. So, rarely i enjoyed this drink in home. In restaurants my first order will be rose milk. Even after getting married my husband used to order this for me without fail. Nowadays 'K' started like this and i can proudly say this to my mom that i'll do this for him in home itself.
I used to make syrup and store it for 10 to 15 days and mix it with chilled milk whenever needs.

Ingredients:
- Sugar - 1 cup
- Water - 3/4 cup
- Rose Essence - 3/4 tsp
- Rose food color - 1/2 to 3/4 tsp
Cooking Instructions:
- Mix sugar and water nicely.
- Keep it in stove and bring it to boil. Reduce the flame and cook for 5 more mins.
- Add rose food color and switch off the flame.
- Once slightly cooled, add rose essence and allow it cool completely.
- Store it in a air tight container for 10 to 15 days.
- Add 2 to 3 tbsp of syrup and a cup of boiled cold milk. Stir it or you can even blend it by adding 2 ice cubes.
