Mushroom Pulao is a tasty and simple dish which can be done within 30 mins. Those who are bored with usual rice, can try this recipe. If using soaked rice then add 1 cup of water and for unsoaked rice add 1&1/2 cup water.
For Cleaning Mushrooms: Add a tbsp of water and maida in mushroom. Mix it gently till the black color removes and rinse with cold water completely. Drain it immediately. Mushroom has the tendency to leave water while cooking. So drain it once washed.
Ingredients:
- Mushrooms - 250gms
- Basmati Rice - 1 cup
- Onion - 1
- Mint Leaves - 1/2 cup
- Coriander leaves - 1/2 cup
- Green chilly - 3
- Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
- Curd - 1 tbsp
- Coconut milk - 1/2 cup
- Ghee - 3 tbsp
- Water - 1/2 cup
- Salt to taste
- Bay leaves
- Cinnamon stick - 1 inch
- Cloves - 2
- Cardamom - 2
Cooking Instructions:
- Press 'Saute' option and add ghee.
- Add bay leaf, cinnamon stick, cloves and cardamom.
- Add mint and coriander leaves and saute for a min.
- Add ginger garlic paste and saute till raw smell goes.
- Add onion and slitted green chilly and saute for a couple of mins.
- Add curd, salt and mushroom. Cook for 2 to 3 mins.
- Add rice and saute for a min.
- Add coconut milk and water. press 'keep warm/cancel' button.
- Turn on 'Rice' option. (sealed). Once done turn off.
- Serve hot with raita, tomato thokku.
