Aloo Pulao in Instant Pot


An instant recipe which can be done within 30 mins. The best combo is any dry variety of mutton and chicken or simply serve along with cucumber raita.

Ingredients:

  • Potato - 2
  • Basmati rice - 1 cup
  • Onion - 1
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
  • Green chilly - 2
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Biryani Pulao Masala - 2 tsp
  • Bay leaf - 1
  • Cinnamon stick - 1 inch
  • Cloves - 1
  • Cardamom - 1
  • Star anise - 1
  • Ghee - 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Water - 1&1/2cup

Cooking Instructions:

  • Soak rice for 30 mins.
  • Press 'Saute' option and add ghee.
  • Add all the tempering ingredients.
  • Add ginger garlic paste and saute till raw smell goes.
  • Add green chilly and onion. Saute till it turn translucent.
  • Add turmeric powder, salt, pulao masala and potato. Sprinkle water and cook for 3 to 4 mins.
  • Add rice and water. Cancel 'Saute' option and turn on 'Rice' mode. Close the lid and seal it.
  • Serve hot with raita.
