Kadalai paruppu Poornam Kozhukattai

Kozhukattai is a special dish which is done only on auspicious days. It is a very lengthy process and takes time to done. 'K' don't know the name of the recipe but he keeps on insisting me to do the dish which i did on vinayagar chathurthi. I asked him either sundal or kozhukattai. He said that white color sweet dish :). So, i assumed he's saying kozhukattai and did. Today no urge to cook quickly like festive time. So prepared slowly and i had enough time for capturing pics.

Paruppu Thuvayal

A very simple recipe which can be done within 10 mins. It goes well with plain rice and gingelly oil or as a side dish with rasam sadham, curd rice. I made this thuvayal whenever someone in my home is affected with cold. It is good for health too.

Oats dosa

Are you confused and bored in making usual idly, dosa , chapathi? 
Are you in short of idly dosa batter? 
Are you looking for instant tiffin recipes for your guests?
Then try this instant oats rava dosa. It is crispy as normal dosa and not as tough as cooking like rava dosa. You can get a perfect dosa. It suits best with coconut chutney or onion tomato chutney.

Peerkangai Kadayal/ Ridge gourd Kadayal


Peerkangai is rich in fibre and this recipe goes yummy with rice+ ghee combo. My mom generally use mud pot for all types of masiyal and keerai varieties and the pot really enhance the taste of the dish. If possible try with mud pot.

Instant Pot Mushroom Pulao

              Mushroom Pulao is a tasty and simple dish which can be done within 30 mins. Those who are bored with usual rice, can try this recipe. If using soaked rice then add 1 cup of water and for unsoaked rice add 1&1/2 cup water.
For Cleaning Mushrooms: Add a tbsp of water and maida in mushroom. Mix it gently till the black color removes and rinse with cold water completely. Drain it immediately. Mushroom has the tendency to leave water while cooking. So drain it once washed.

Octopus Tutorial

It is a simple and easy miniature to make. It can be used in key chain. Even kids can do this.

  • Make a round ball and just press gently for base.
  • Make 10 equal size thin lines.
  • Make curls at the end.
  • stick everything.
  • Take a small ball and place it above for head.




Dog Tutorial

I was planned to do tutorial for cat, but after adding color to the dough, dog came to my mind. So excuse me for the bright color. I'll do another tutorial in a couple of days with appropriate colors. 


Tips:
  • If you get crack while making or the dough is too hard add a drop of water and smoothen the crack.
  • After adding color (acrylic color) clay will become more moisture. So after kneading with the color let it sit for a couple of min before modelling.
