Sambara Dosa/ Kovil Dosa


Ingredients:

   Sambara dosa                              
      Preparation Time : 6hrs | Cooking Time : 10 mins
      Serving : 10 Dosa
  • Raw Rice - 1/2 cup
  • Idly Rice - 1/2 cup
  • Urad dal - 1/2 cup
  • Fenugreek seeds - 1/4 tsp
  • Dry ginger powder - 1 tsp
  • Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  • Crushed Pepper - 1 tsp
  • Ghee - 2 tsp
  • Salt to taste

Cooking Instructions:

  • Wash and soak rice and dal separately. Soak fenugreek seeds along with urad dal.
  • Grind everything coarsely, add salt and ferment it for 2hrs. (You can also make dosa immediately).
  • Heat ghee in a pan, add cumin seeds and crushed pepper. Add the mixture to the batter along with dry ginger powder.
  • Heat tawa and spread a ladle of batter. Drizzle a tsp of ghee and cook on both sides till golden brown.
