Ingredients:
Kathirikai Murungakai Puli Kuzhambu Cooking Time : 30 mins
- Brinjal - 6
- Drumstick - 1
- Small Onion - 12
- Garlic - 6 cloves
- Tomato - 1
- Tamarind Pulp - 1 cup
- Sambar powder - 1 tbsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Fenugreek Powder - 1/4 tsp
- Rice flour - 1 tsp (Optional)
For Tempering:
- Red chilly - 2
- Curry leaves - a sprig
- Hing - 1/4 tsp
- Vadagam - 1 tsp (Or)
- Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Urad dal - 1/2 tsp
- Cumin Seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Gingelly oil - 3 tbsp
Cooking Instructions:
- Heat oil in a kadai, add vadagam, red chilly, hing, curry leaves and allow it to splutter. Add Garlic and onion, saute till color changes.
- Add the vegetables and saute till it turn soft. Then add tomato, salt, fenugreek powder and sambar powder. Saute nicely till raw flavour goes.
