Urulaikelangu Podi thuval / Potato Podi thuval



Ingredients:

   Urulai Podi thuval                                
      Cooking Time : 20 mins
  • Potato - 3
  • Coconut - 1/4 cup
  • Green chilly - 2
  • Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp
  • Curry leaves - a sprig
  • Gingelly oil - 1 tbsp
  • Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Sambar powder - 1 tsp
  • Red chilly - 1


Cooking Instructions:

  • Peel the skin and cut potato into 1 inch cubes. Boil them in water along with turmeric powder and salt.
  • Grind coconut, green chilly, cumin seeds and curry leaves to a coarse paste without adding water.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds and allow it to splutter, then add red chilly. Now add boiled potatoes and sambar powder. Saute it for a min.
  • Add salt and Coconut paste. Cook for 3 to 4 mins. Add a tsp of oil if sticky.
  • Serve with curd rice, sambar rice.
