Mushroom Masala using Madras curry powder

Recently bought madras curry powder from store and really it helps a lot because adding this powder alone is enough. No need to add coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, cinnamon, bay leaf separately.

Ingredients:

   Mushroom Masala                              
      Cooking Time : 30 mins
  • Mushroom - 250gms
  • Onion - 2
  • Tomato - 1
  • Cashew nuts - 5
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
  • Madras curry powder - 2 tbsp
  • Kashmiri chilly powder - 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil - 2 tbsp
  • Garam Masala - 1/2 tsp
  • Fresh cream - 2 tbsp

Cooking Instructions:

  • Heat a tbsp of oil in a pan. Add onion and saute till it turn translucent. Add ginger garlic paste and saute till raw smell goes. Now, add tomato and cashew nuts and cook for couple of mins.
  • Allow it to cool completely and grind smoothly.
  • In the same pan add a tbsp of oil and add onion tomato paste. Add little water and cook for 3 to 4 mins. Now add madras curry powder, chilly powder and salt. 
  • Add mushrooms, cover and cook in a medium flame till done.
  • Add garam masala and fresh cream. Give a nice stir. Switch off the flame.
  • Serve hot with roti, paratha.
