Paneer Kuruma


Ingredients:

   Paneer Kuruma                                
      Cooking Time : 20 mins
  • Paneer - 250gms
  • Onion - 1
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
  • Red chilly powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh Cream - 1 tbsp
  • Kasuri Methi - a pinch
  • Bay leaf -1 
  • Cinnamon stick - 1 inch
  • Oil - 1 tbsp

     For Grinding:

  • Onion - 1
  • Cashew nut - 5 to 6
  • Fennel seeds - 1 tsp
  • Green chilly - 2
  • Coconut - 2 tbsp

Cooking Instructions:

  • Heat oil in a pan, and saute all the ingredients for grinding (Add the coconut at last). Allow it to cool and grind it smoothly.
  • In the same pan add little ghee/oil and toast the paneer till golden brown. Set aside.
  • Add bay leaf, cinnamon stick and allow it to temper, then add onion and saute till translucent. Add ginger garlic paste and fry till raw smell goes.
  • Add the ground paste along with 1/4 cup of water.  then add turmeric powder and red chilly powder. Cook in a medium flame for 5 to 8 mins.
  • Add salt, fresh cream and mix it gently. Finally add paneer and kasuri methi leaves.
